Muskegon’s own “home girl” is destined for the stars as she has reached the final round of the competition. Sylvia is a native of Norton Shores, which is in Muskegon, Michigan. She attended Mona Shores high school before shining on NBC’s hit reality music show The Voice.
In an episode that was shown on October 30th, she beat out other contestants for the prime position on the shows live showing and has been rising to the stars since.

Muskegon has a new hometown hero on national television! Sylvia Yacoub is a contestant on “The Voice” and she just made the cut. Sylvia performed Rihanna’s ”Only Girl in the World” to a roaring crowd on tonight’s episode of “The Voice.”
Sylvia received overwhelmingly positive feed back from all judges, yet opted to stick with Christina’s team. Sylvia is focused and destined to become the next winner of “The Voice.”
